Day 19 ... Yesterday, Day 18 the wind blew the tarp off the structure. It got under it and ballooned up like a huge parachute. I tried to hold on, but it lifted me off my feet - gave up and let the sun shine on the sandbags. They are treated to UV1600 to resist sun damage, so I hope the wind quits blowing every day at noon. I'll try to tarp it better today.

This photo is a little quality control tamping to keep the circle level and to start sloping the surface slightly to the outside. The instructions say that this will keep the dome from collapsing inward as the bag offset increases.

It is noon and here comes the wind right on schedule, Damn! Now we have to tarp quickly before a big dust devil comes along.

We got it tarped and weighted down with bricks, cinder blocks and truck tires. Hope it holds - with my helper off for the weekend, it will be really hard to fight the wind.
Oh Well, more on Mondey....
